Baptism Will Blow Your Mind, Pt.7

Posted by: | Comments (0)

We recently had the awesome privilege of baptizing three adults this past Sunday at The Dialogue Church. And if you ever wonder why the church of Jesus is so important to God; it is because of stories like these. It is because the local church is the only prescribed agent by God to reach the lost, to deliver the gospel, to bring the divine rescue of Jesus Christ to those far from God. Let me share with you the stories of faith that have emerged from their lives because of Jesus’ work in their hearts:

RAY (here is Ray’s story of finding salvation through faith in Jesus Christ)

A few years back, I was a follower of Jesus and I was happy. Then I lost my way. Since then times have been hard and I was very sad. But then I met Jessica and she made me smile. But I was still sad. God had a plan for me. So he led me to meet Ian, who brought me back to God through the DC. They reminded me that I was so happy when I walked and talked with Jesus. Without Ian and the DC, I would be in a horrible place today. Now I have my faith again and with the power of Jesus my Holy Father, I have not been taking my antidepressants in over a month. I am very happy. I thank God everyday for the DC, Jessica, and all the friends I have met through God. From now until eternity the Lord is my Savior and I am his servant.

Become a Tithe-Loving Church, Pt.1

Posted by: | Comments (0)

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Mat 6:21 NIV)

I have a confession to make: I have not talked enough about money at The Dialogue Church. In the early days (we are only 2 years old now:) I was afraid to talk about money because I thought that it would scare some people away. This was such a foolish fear. And I know what some of you are thinking already: “HERE WE GO AGAIN, ALL THEY TALK ABOUT IS MONEY”, or “ALL THEY WANT IS MY MONEY”. Anyone who thinks that is a hypocrite – because WE ALL THINK ABOUT MONEY ALL THE TIME – IT IS A PART OF OUR LIVES. Money is what we get in exchange for what we do, how we spend money is a reflection of who we are and what our priorities are.

JESUS WANTS US TO BE A PEOPLE THAT LOVE THE TITHE!

JESSICA (here is Jessica’s story 0f finding salvation through faith in Jesus Christ)

I had been looking to go to church for awhile, then I was invited by some friends to go to the DC. My first service was on Easter and I have been going ever since. I came to church not really knowing anything about God and I have been gradually learning more and more about him every day. I want to continue to learn more about God so I can believe in Him more deeply. I believe that baptism is the next step in accepting Jesus and letting him know that I am going to follow Him and that I believe in Him.

Baptism Will Blow Your Mind, Pt.6

We recently had the awesome privilege of baptizing three adults this past Sunday at The Dialogue Church. And if you ever wonder why the church of Jesus is so important to God; it is because of stories like these. It is because the local church is the only prescribed agent by God to reach the lost, to deliver the gospel, to bring the divine rescue of Jesus Christ to those far from God. Let me share with you the stories of faith that have emerged from their lives because of Jesus’ work in their hearts:

SARAH (here is the story of Sarah meeting Jesus and joining forces with The Dialogue Church):

I have been blessed to have known Jesus all of my life. As a child and for most of my adolescence, my faith was unwavering. That changed as illness overwhelmed my body and in some ways, it consumed my soul as well. Bitterness and anger condemned Jesus for taking the gifts I possessed, that would have given me a bright future.
I have since realized that it was Jesus who has been beside me, through all of my suffering. I realize how I am overflowing with an abundance of love and gifts through Jesus’ own suffering on the cross. With my faith in Jesus, I am never alone.

The DC has impacted my life in a number of ways. From the moment I entered the door way and into the halls of the DC, I was immediately taken into what I like to call, my second family. To be accepted for whom you are, regardless of your past, or despite your challenges was a testament to the way Christ treated his fellow man. The spiritual education that I receive every Sunday is empowering to me, and I have the desire to pass this education on to others. I have achieved a newfound happiness from within, which I can only describe as feeling complete. I know that without Christ as a priority in my life, this feeling would be non-existent. The DC has helped pave the path, provided me some direction, and fed me in my journey to accepting Christ in my life once again.
