5 Ways to Prepare for an EPIC EASTER
Posted by: | CommentsI’m so excited for EASTER 2012.
I’m believing God for a miraculous breakthrough in every life that enters His House!
I’m believing God for a record breaking day in church attendance, which is so important because every number represents a soul saved by Jesus and a life changed by the gospel!
I’m believing God for addictions to be broken, marriages to be restored, hurts to be healed, relationships to be reconciled, frustrations to be freed up, worries to be turned into worship, fears to be turned into failure, and sins to be turned into salvation.
BUT…for all these things to happen we must be willing to partner with God.
Without us, He won’t, and without Him, we can’t.
Here are 5 things you can do to partner with God for making Easter a day of resurrection for so many:
1. Honestly confess any junk in the trunk.
Seriously, just bring your sin, shame, guilt, secrets, hurts, offenses to Jesus. Jesus says, If you confess it I can bless it. If you reveal it I can heal it. Because of Easter Jesus makes dead things alive. What in your life is dead? Jesus wants to bring about a resurrection. The same power that raised Jesus from the grave lives inside of you. In Christ, you have comeback power!
2. Bodly ask God for big dreams.
Bold prayers honor God. And God honors bold prayers. Maybe it’s the salvation of a loved one. Maybe its healing for a spouse, a child, or yourself. Maybe its to be financially free, or own your own home, or find a new job. Just make it big, and make sure you are asking for something that requires God to show up and show out. Small dreams insult our big God.
3. Don’t play it safe.
Don’t just sit around and do nothing. Act like those prayers are already being answered. Put some action behind those prayers. Expect God to fulfill the promise he has placed in your heart. Come Easter morning expecting God to supernaturally bless you beyond your wildest dreams. Attempt something great for God. A friend in our church recently told me, “Pastor, my wife and I have set a goal to fill an entire row of seats at church with people who need Jesus.” And now they are acting on it. They have already begun inviting, and two of their relatives came to church and accepted Christ last weekend. Woohoo!
4. Be faithful to the House!
Don’t miss a single week of worship leading up to Easter Sunday, April 8th. The more you participate in the House, the more God participates in your home! It’s time we bring our homes back into His house, and His house back into our homes. Stay planted in the House. If you aren’t serving, now is a great time to start. You are blessed to be a blessing. If you aren’t giving, now is the time to start. You will find healing and hope when you bring your home into His house! Get up early for church, arrive early, get your whole family involved! Lead the way, be the example.
5. Infect others with your passion for The House! Don’t keep it a secret. Share the dream or prayer with others. Pray together, and worship together. Come to church together, and infect one another with an incurable HOPE in the goodness of God upon your lives. Keep believing God for greater, don’t let a single day go by without sharing Gods greatness with somebody else.
Take time today to write down the names of those you are going to invite to Easter Sunday. Now start investing God’s love into them, they will eventually want a whole lot more!
