God Deserves Excellence.
Pastor Steven Furtick of Elevation Church says, Leaders: Don’t apologize for expecting excellence. God deserves it, and people are capable of it. Call it out.

It is one thing to DO ministry with excellence, but real LEADERSHIP expects and holds people accountable to a certain level of excellence.  We are doing people a disservice when we don’t expect and call for excellence in life and ministry.  The only way someone is going to reach their full potential is if leaders call for excellence in every area.

Excellence is not perfection, but it is doing the absolute best you can with the resources you’ve got.  Sometimes we are afraid of offending someone by calling for excellence, but it is just the opposite – IT HONORS THEM.  The best compliment you can give to someone is to call them to a level of excellence in all that they do.  People don’t grow by being allowed to live in mediocrity.
