GOALS, Pt.2 [guest blogger: Joshua Gagnon]

By admin

I have launched a new series of blog posts called GOALS. I have invited some of my friends, mentors, and flat out some of the MOST AMAZING LEADERS in the country to help me blog on this subject.

The first guest blogger in this series is JOSHUA GAGNON (www.joshuagagnon.com) from Next Level Church (www.nlc.tv) in Dover, NH. Josh started his thoughts yesterday, let me continue his post here today:

A vision takes perseverance, there will be days when you want to quit…

A vision will be laughed at…if ordinary people don’t think you’re crazy your vision isn’t a God thing. A God sized vision always gets laughed at because it seems impossible.

Each vision goes through seasons of failure/growth…failure is not an option, it’s inevitable!

A God given vision will cost something…are you willing to endure the pain? Craig Groeschel said… “the difference between a growing church and one that isn’t growing is usually that the leader of the growing church was willing to endure more pain”.

A spiritual vision must always begin and remain a spiritual matter…It’s so easy to start with a God sized vision and have it turn into man sized results.

A vision is always driven by a burden! If you’ve lost your burden for people, you’re in trouble.

My last thought is something I told my team two weeks ago. We were talking about setting goals and one of them said “what if we don’t hit it”? And my response was: it’s not our goal to hit! If we make it our responsibility to hit the goal we’ll take the credit away from Jesus when the goal is achieved.
