Angels, Pt.6
ByANGELS PROTECT YOU FROM DANGER
No, the Bible does not say that everyone has a GUARDIAN ANGEL. That is a popular myth about the supernatural. GRANDMA is not watching over you, and even if she were the Bible doesn’t give us any reason to believe that she could actually help us in any way. And in all honestly, there are plenty of times in life that I really don’t want Grandma watching over me, GROSS. But the Bible does say that angels protect us from danger.
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; (Psa 91:11 NIV)
Angels will often protect you from danger. A quick note on this verse. GOD COMMANDS ANGELS. These angels are not up to their own doing. They are not calling the shots, in fact if they were they would be fallen angels now taking orders from the Prince of Darkness. If an angel comes to your rescue it is only because God commanded that angel to do so. It is God who deserves the praise and credit. It is not because you have some special connection with this angel, in fact the angels are not concerned with having any kind of special connection with you or with me, they are not working for you or for me, they are working for Jesus. If you have an angelic encounter and it is not all about pointing you to Jesus (or administering some kind of action for the glory and benefit of Jesus) then I would summize that you are not meeting an angel of heaven, but of hell! In this case, you will want the angels of God to protect you from danger.
