WHY WOULD A LOVING GOD SEND ANYONE TO HELL?

In my years of pastoring I have heard this question a lot, “Why would a loving God send people to Hell?” First of all, a loving God does not send anyone to hell, he is simply allowing people on this side of eternity to choose HIM OR HELL. The people who go to hell are getting exactly what they wanted on this side of eternity, A CHRIST-LESS EXISTENCE – A GODLESS WORLD. They ignored, denied, or disobeyed Jesus in this life, thus they will spend eternity without God, and without Hope.

God has every right to send people to hell if he so chooses. I don’t get excited over this truth from the Bible, in fact, it breaks my heart and I am praying everyday for Jesus to ruin me more for the lost souls in our community. I honestly don’t think that I am broken enough – it should hurt my insides every time I think of hell and the thought of people I know and even those I have never met going there. The destination and reality of Hell hurt God so much that He sent Jesus to die on a cross in order to conquer it!

Why would a loving God send people to Hell? A loving God SENT JESUS TO DIE ON THE CROSS, AND A LOVING GOD BROUGHT YOU HEAR TODAY SO THAT YOU COULD HEAR THE GLORIOUS MESSAGE OF THE GOSPEL AND BE RESCUED FROM HELL! THAT IS WHAT A LOVING GOD HAS DONE. Our GOD IS A WARRIOR – HE IS STRONG AND MIGHTY – YOU DON’T MESS WITH THIS GOD. He is not the Greek Zeus God who is constantly perplexed over the human condition and which goddess to have sex with next. He is not a pushover, He is not caught off guard with the world’s latest crisis, and he doesn’t tolerate our sin. Our God is a warrior and so are His angels.
